Your information

Privacy, in plain language.

This notice explains what Do Now collects, why it is needed and the choices available to teachers and learners.

Version 20 August 2026 · Data controller: Do Now · support@donow.uk

What we collect

Learners do not need Do Now accounts. Teachers should use non-identifying Seat IDs and must not enter learner names, health information or other sensitive personal information.

Why we use information

PurposeTypical lawful basis
Provide accounts, quizzes, reports, exports, subscriptions and supportContract, or steps requested before a contract
Keep the service secure, reliable and fair; prevent abuse; improve question quality using minimised or aggregated signalsLegitimate interests in operating and improving Do Now
Meet tax, accounting, consumer and legal dutiesLegal obligation
Optional marketing messagesConsent, which can be withdrawn

Adaptive question choices support learning and do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who processes information

Do Now uses service providers only where needed to deliver the product:

We do not sell personal information. Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where UK law requires it, transfers must use an applicable adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguards. Contact support for more detail.

How long we keep it

Account and classroom information is kept while the account is active and while it is needed to provide the service, resolve disputes or meet legal duties. Account deletion removes the teacher identity and associated classes, sessions, Seat IDs, attempts, answers, mastery and targets. Teacher-created questions may remain in a shared question bank without the creator identifier. Anonymous quality statistics and non-identifying deletion receipts may also remain.

Provider billing records and security logs follow legal, security and provider retention requirements. We periodically review whether information is still needed.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. You can withdraw optional marketing consent at any time. Teacher accounts provide authenticated export and deletion controls; support can help if those controls are unavailable.

Contact support@donow.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address a concern first.

Cookies and browser storage

Do Now uses necessary cookies and browser storage for secure sign-in, anonymous free-use limits, session continuity, accessibility preferences and quiz progress. Stripe may use necessary storage during secure checkout. Do Now does not currently place advertising cookies. If optional analytics or marketing storage is introduced, this notice and the consent controls must be updated first.

Changes to this notice

We will update the version date and bring material changes to account holders' attention before new uses begin.
